For well over 100 years, animals carrying the B I Bar brand have represented the Ritschard Family’s personal commitment to raising quality, healthy livestock. While we no longer physically brand our livestock, the values we learned from this heritage are still applied to the breeding of outstanding Suri Alpacas at the B I Bar Ranch. A family operation, we are focused on continuing a legacy of excellence in our animals and enduring relationships with our clients. Now a ranch of around 25 alpacas, we specialize in grey and other colored Suri alpacas while still adhering to the simple principle set down over our family’s many generations: outstanding animals – responsibly produced.

By considering body structure in our breeding decisions, we insure our animals can produce happy, healthy offspring just as nature intended. To us, a robust physical confirmation provides the best foundation for producing exceptional fleece for many generations to come.
